OMNI Institute’s mission is to integrate applied research, capacity building and technology solutions for the nonprofit, philanthropic and public sectors. We provide high-quality, client-centered social science research and evaluation, technical assistance and training services, and hosted technology solutions. OMNI Institute (OMNI) is conducting a job search for a Senior Project Manager to support the expanding work within OMNI’s applied technology division.

The responsibilities of the Senior Project Manager position will involve leadership of a technology solutions team; staff supervision and management; support of business development efforts; development of protocols and processes to support technical projects; independent management of large, complex software solutions projects; oversight of small to mid-size software solutions projects; successful configuration of software solutions through the analysis, organization, and synthesis of large amounts of provider and/or program information; clear articulation regarding client requirements and proposed solutions through both written and verbal communication; oversight of training and technical assistance; delivery of software demonstrations; and reporting to the technology division director. The determination of salary is commensurate upon experience and skills.

Individuals meeting all the following requirements and some of the preferred qualifications should apply for the position.

Position Requirements

  • A minimum of an MA/MS, or the equivalent in work experience.

  • 4 years’ experience in technology implementation.

  • Strong project management experience (creation of project plans, budget management, resource allocation, managing timelines and deliverables, contract negotiation).

  • Strong staff management experience (resource allocation across projects and staff; monitoring staff training needs and identifying appropriate training plans; supervision).

  • Excellent client management skills, including both verbal and written communications.

  • Ability to quickly learn new software applications.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Experience specifying technical requirements for development purposes.

  • Experience with database management, database structures, and data analysis

  • Strong ability to present to both technical and non-technical audiences

  • Experience with Tableau and/or Logi Analytics software.

Additional Preferred Qualification

  • Experience in performance management and/or evaluation.

  • Experience with data visualization and/or data dashboards.

  • Experience in user interface design or user interface experience.

  • Experience providing quality assurance.

  • Experience providing, or overseeing provision of technical assistance.

  • Experience working with the nonprofit sector and familiarity with service delivery.

  • Experience in SQL software.

  • Experience creating reports using business intelligence software (e.g. SAP business objects).

  • Experience managing technology implementations with clients, preferably in the nonprofit sector.
